Research Description

Dr. Donaldson is the creator of WikEM, the world’s most popular emergency medicine-specific mobile application and a juror for the Medical Design Excellence Awards®. Dr. Donaldson's research focuses on emergency, critical, and trauma care. He has worked around the globe, frequently in areas of conflict and recent disaster. In Iraq alone, for over five years he led the development of pre-hospital and hospital-based emergency systems for the country, while training of over ten-thousand community members, EMTs, nurses, and doctors. He is also the critically acclaimed author of The Lassa Ward, a memoir about international humanitarian work, and a recipient of the Humanitarian Award from the American College of Emergency Physicians.
