Research DescriptionDr. Sietsema’s focus is in exercise physiology and the use of exercise testing for assessing functional capacity in clinical and research settings. Her work includes investigations into the nature and significance of functional impairment in a wide range of chronic disease states, including: chronic heart failure, congenital heart diseases, chronic kidney disease and pulmonary hypertension.
