Jaunita Gougis, Sickle Cell Disease Survivor

As a not-for-profit organization, LA BioMed depends upon your contributions to save lives. Over the past six decades, our researchers have been responsible for some of the most critical advancements in medical science, advancements that have an impact on people’s lives. Because of LA BioMed research, Steve Corbett, firefighter and father of six, had his heart problem detected early, which saved his life. Juanita Gougis (pictured above) can take a simple treatment to ease the debilitating pain of Sickle Cell Disease. Monica Berndt battled thyroid cancer and came out on top.

Be part of the “Perfect Equation” and support the researchers who will create survivors.
